A journey of improvement
In 2008, Óscar and Pilar started their business journey after traveling around the world. They created a very small tapas bar, «El Toque,» which, over the years, they refined into a gastronomic landmark in Estepona.
There was a time when, walking by the Church of Carmen, it was impossible not to stop in front of the unmistakable image of El Toque: tables full of people, shared laughter, and that unmistakable aroma of well-made food. Their patatas bravas, toasts, and skewers won the hearts of Esteponians and visitors alike, making it a gastronomic reference in the city.
But every cycle must end. In October 2022, the famous Toque closed its doors, leaving a hole in the hearts—and stomachs—of many. There are still those who, out of habit, call to make a reservation, unaware that this beloved spot is no longer open. Two months later, its owners embarked on a new path at Av. Andalucía, 239, completely changing the format and running an à la carte restaurant, Kuvo, offering a completely different gastronomic experience.
At Kuvo, we find a more refined and interesting offering, with a 13-course tasting menu, with an option for wine pairing, featuring dishes like roasted eggplant with lobster and yuzu-miso vinaigrette, steak tartare, wild sea bass, and tenderloin. A tasting menu where the dishes change throughout the current month, making this gastronomic experience a delightful surprise.
